The photograph was taken for Truphone who are market leaders in wireless Voip technology. It demonstrates that Truphone customers can make free Internet calls on their mobile phones from virtually anywhere.
The shoot was taken on a very cold December morning. I used a series of portable lights and reflectors to warm the scene and captured the image with a high-resolution digital camera. Then in postproduction I made over 23 individual lighting adjustments to give the image rich and appealing colours. I then PhotoShopped out the inevitable reflections on the Café window.
This image has since been seen in many national newspapers.
